WHEN SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

OH HECK YES! Well..It really does depend on why you want to hire me. Wedding? Elopement? Couples session? The summer season fills up quickly so I tell my clients to reach out 4-6 months in advance so I can make sure your date is available. If your date is flexible I would recommend from 2 - 4 months for other sessions!

WHAT IF I'M AWKWARD/HAVE NEVER TAKEN PICTURES BEFORE?

That is my job! I will bring music and you can feel free to bring any props that might help you showcase your passions/ talents. If you're booking a couples session I will send you a questionnaire so I can get to know you better and get a sense of your dynamic as a couple. I'll carefully guide you so you don't feel awkward and uncomfortable into different poses. We're going to have fun ;)

WHATS YOUR DELIVERY TIME + PROCESS?

After your session, I will send a sneak peek within 24-48 hours! I use a gallery service called pic-time which allows me to share your photos in a beautiful gallery and allows you to order prints, calendars, cards, and canvases amongst other things if you desire to do so! You have access to your gallery for 6 months and after that, you will be responsible for storing your photos. No prints or albums are included in the paid cost.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? (RAIN, WIND, SNOW)

Unless the weather is really BAD, I actually love to embrace the elements and make them a part of your session! Especially in the pacific Northwest I have had to learn to embrace the rain (which actually is a whole mood). Wind also makes AMAZING photos.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED? DO YOU TRAVEL?

I am based in Portland, Oregon but I am a sucker for traveling internationally wherever your love story will take me. Inquire to learn about travel fees :) - Some of my favorite places I've been to are Switzerland and Peru!

HOW DO YOU HANDLE TRAVEL FEES?

My pricing for sessions includes any location within a 30 mile radius from Portland. For weddings it includes up to 3 hours of driving time. Outside of those parameters a travel fee will apply. To make things simple, I’ve created a flat-rate travel fee based on the average costs for flights, transportation, accommodation, meals, fuel, and an emergency fund. This flat rate is designed to be easily added to your package, so you won’t need to worry about individual expenses being billed separately. If you’re interested in a detailed cost breakdown, I’d be happy to go over it with you during our initial call. Just let me know, and we can review all the details together!

DO YOU GIVE RAW (UNEDITED) PHOTOS?

DO YOU RETOUCH YOUR IMAGES?

Nope. I want to help capture the most authentic version of you and I want to make you feel beautiful as you are. I am passionate about body positivity and embracing people as they come!

HOW MANY IMAGES YOU DO DELIVER?

Depending on the type of session or event the number of photos may vary. Don't worry though - I won't hold any photos back. It usually ends up being anywhere between 75 - 100 photos per hour. Every wedding and session is completely unique so it always varies.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT TO OUR WEDDING/SESSION?

In case something were to happen to me (accident, pregnancy, illness, natural disaster, etc) I would find another photographer to shoot your event and I would edit in my style and deliver your gallery :) If you need to cancel due to illness or bad weather I can see if we can reschedule as long as my schedule allows (rescheduling fees will apply).

HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU TAKE EACH YEAR?

I strive to give my clients the best experience possible, so I only take on 15-20 traditional weddings and up to 10 elopements/micro weddings each season.

The only discounts I offer are for bucket list locations which you can find on my travel (https://www.danarohlfsphoto.com/about-9-1)page as well as the casual black Friday deal during the holiday season. Other than that my prices are firm.
